So recently (in July) my whole family took a big road trip to Nauvoo for a family reunion. It toook three Big Mormon Wagons to get us all there.
It was an amazing experience. I grew such an appreciation for the pioneers and the early saints. The part that made it even more amazing was that I was finishing up the last book of the Work and the Glory series during the long car rides and so as I visited certain sites I was able to read about the experience that the infamous Steed family had as they went there as well. I would suggest that everyone visit Nauvoo at least once in their life. It really is a holy, sacred place.
